Project Engineer 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

          Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering or Civil Engineering with emphasis on structures.

          1-4 years of structural engineering experience as it relates to building design.

          Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) in state of Texas

          Knowledge of structural systems and software such as RISA, RAM, ETABS, Enercalc, ADAPT, etc.

          Experience in designing and producing detail work for steel, concrete, masonry and wood building structures

          RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIRED SKILLS

          Perform and coordinate the structural design of assigned projects with regular or occasional input from Project Manager

          Perform vertical and lateral analysis of structures in RAM Structural System

          Coordinate detailing with Drafters/Designers

          Back-check design markups given to Drafters/Designers

          Participate in QA/QC of projects and coordinates comments

          Review structural documents for areas of conflict with other disciplines

          Assist PMs with Construction Administration review

          Review shop drawings and answer RFI’s

          Ability to handle multiple tasks at once

          Attentiveness to detail and precision; takes pride in all projects involved with; takes ownership of project goals and company methodology; produces accurate documents

          Has a positive attitude even under pressure; exhibits self-initiative and has a strong work ethic

BIM Technician 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The person in this role will be responsible for the preparation of construction documents for buildings (plans, details, notes, etc.) through the Revit Structure software. Responsible for building and coordinating structural models and other design documentation, developing and maintaining Revit families, detail libraries, and other graphic tools needed. Responsible for incorporating project engineer’s markups and other agreed-upon changes into the project models and construction documents. This person will also be required to assist with addendums, requests for information, change orders, reviewing and coordinating with architectural, MEP, and other disciplines as directed by the project engineer.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

          Associate Degree in Drafting and Design with emphasis on architecture and structures

          5+ years of structural drafting experience as it relates to building design

          Experience producing drafting and detail work for steel, concrete, masonry and wood structures

          Proficient in Revit Structure, AutoCAD and MS Office. Be able to demonstrate Revit skills through testing, if requested.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

          Ability to read and work from architectural plans to produce structural construction documents.

          Ability to analyze sketches, notes and other input material to develop and complete drawings with minimal input from project engineer/manager

          Can fully recognize and coordinate conflicts with architect, MEP and other disciplines

          Knowledge of construction materials and how a building is assembled/constructed

          Attentiveness to detail and precision; takes pride in all projects involved with; takes ownership of project goals and company methodology; produces accurate documents

          Achieve consistent results

          Can schedule time appropriately to meet the deadlines for multiple projects

          Can attend meetings with the PM to discuss coordination between project team

          Willingness to assist with CA when necessary

          Has a positive attitude even under pressure; exhibits self-initiative and has a strong work ethic
